Senior BJP leader and JMC Mayor Chander Mohan Gupta on Tuesday called on Union Home Minister Amit Shah and discussed in detail the ongoing development process in J&K.Mayor discussed in detail the measures taken to strengthen BJP in J&K and revealed about the achievements and policies being undertaken by local BJP in the UT to connect more and more people with this biggest political outfit of the world. He also divulged about the ongoing development spree which is currently transforming the UT of J&K from a subtle unit into vibrant place offering all the facilities and amenities which the big metro cities and developed states used to offer to their residents.
He said that post abrogation of Article 370, the UT is moving apace on the development trail as number of projects which were languishing since decades have been completed and dedicated to the people of the UT and several others have been launched to make the life of the people of Jammu and Kashmir more meaningful as they were subjected to step-motherly treatment for the last over 70 years due to phlegmatic attitudes of the successive governments led by dynastic political outfits like NC, PDP, etc.
Mayor said that the inception of AIIMS, IIT, IIM and many other institutions in the UT of J&K is the testimony to the fact that the BJP Government is focused on developing J&K into a model unit of the new India envisaged by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He said that presently the J&K is passing under the renaissance period as the development works are going on day and night. “Soon the UT will be transformed into the most developed region of the country as vowed by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi and is being witnessed by the people of Jammu and Kashmir”, added Mayor.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah also appealed to people to join the `Har Ghar Tiranga` movement. "With this campaign, the Tricolour will be hoisted on about 20 crore houses across the country, which will work to further brighten the unbroken flame of patriotism in the minds of every citizen, especially the youth," he said.
"I appeal to everyone to join this campaign," he said`Har Ghar Tiranga` is a campaign under the aegis of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav to encourage people to bring the Tiranga home and to hoist it to mark the 75th year of India`s independence. Our relationship with the flag has always been more formal and institutional than personal. Bringing the flag home collectively as a nation in the 75th year of independence thus becomes symbolic of not only an act of personal connection to the Tiranga but also an embodiment of our commitment to nation-building. The idea behind the initiative is to invoke the feeling of patriotism in the hearts of the people and to promote awareness about the Indian National Flag.
